At Hagafen Cellars, we believe in producing wines which we ourselves drink and enjoy: Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, White Riesling, and Zinfandel. We also produce three highly acclaimed Brut CuvÈe Sparkling Wines. Why so many different varietals but such small quantities? Because small-lot releases allow us to hand-select and produce the absolute best of each year's production. HaGafen Cellars brings together tthe elements of "Old Napa" style so often missing from today's world of wine: a respect for lineage, knowledge of age-old customs for the crafting of wine, and superior releases that reveal a depth of charcater and a hallmark of place. Our small lot bottlings start with superb fruit, and we seek to artisanally shape each to showcase its uniqueness and the specific region from which it originates. For these reasons, our total production each year is only 8,000 cases. Anything else forgets why wine has been so central to our lives for thousands of years, connecting us to passion and celebrating the good things of life with relatives and friends.
We believe that fine wine starts with superb fruit. Thus, at Hagafen Cellars we seek to showcase the premium grape varietal in each of our wines. Our long term goal has been to marry the famous Napa Valley tradition of producing premium varietals for the sophisticated palate with the everyday tradition of family-based enjoyment of fine wines.
