Almond Cake
—2 Cups Flour
—1/4 Tsp Salt
—3 Tsps Baking Powder
—1 Cup Butter
—1½ Cups Sugar
—4 Eggs
—1½ Tsps Almond Extract
—1 Cup Milk
—2 Cups Unblanched Whole Almonds, Ground
Preparing the Cake:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Grease and flour cake pan.
- Sift flour, salt and baking powder.
- Beat together butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and almond extract until light and fluffy.
- Add flour and milk.
- Beat until smooth.
- Fold in ground nuts.
- Spread batter in prepared pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Serve with Hagafen Napa Valley Estate Bottled White Riesling and enjoy!!
