Our Cabernets are well known for our house style of bright fruit and supple tannins that produce early drinking wines which age for decades due to their solid structure. Over time, we have come to select one special block of six rows of vines in Weir Family Vineyard II to be released as the supreme expression our terroir—and thus we have fittingly named it for the three Weir children, Maya, Jonathan, and Tamar. It is there that the eastern side of the Valley shows its greatest results: a dark, introspective wine loaded with black fruits on the nose and delivering great oodles of black cherry, raspberry, chocolate and mint on the palate, accented by earthy, silky tannins. The 2006 MJT Block Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is what comes to mind when you think about quintessential “Napa Valley Cabernet.”
92 Points! Multiple Golds! Prix is for the man or woman who enjoys only the best and who will welcome nothing else. This reserve release manifests the same philosophy of passion, flavor, and flair; no Prix Vineyards bottling is the same as any othereach is the finest selection of the years harvest bounty. The 2007 release presents aromas of orange blossoms, honey, and citrus fruits. On the palate is a glorious mix of apricots, citrus, and lemon pie that dances on the tongue. This is the wine you think of when you hear the words reserve Riesling. Accept nothing less: PRIX. Only 400 cases produced.
