Folks, meet our very first Prix Reserve Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Franc meet the wine club! This fabulous wine comes from the second harvest of our newest vineyard, the Weir Family Vineyard, aka Rancho Weiruszowski. For our Cabernet Franc the second years harvest was more balanced due to maturity of the vines, the tannin structure, ripeness of the fruit at harvest, good fruit exposure in the vineyard and a good pH.
The fleshy, supple nose of the exquisite wine wows you with violets, red currants and sun warmed Lincoln Rose. This flows to a mouth bursting with flavors of the deep forest glen: rich earth, deep dark black cherries and rose hips. The lush, round, velvety mouth is mixed with a tannic structure that is beginning to soften and will continue to do so for years to come.
