LIMITED RELEASE!
Hagafen’s Cabernets are well known for our house style of bright fruit and supple tannins that produce early drinking wines which age for decades due to their solid structure. Over time, we have come to select one special block of six rows of vines in Weir Family Vineyard II to be released as the supreme expression our terroir—and thus we have fittingly named it for the three Weir children, Maya, Jonathan, and Tamar. It is there that the eastern side of the Valley shows its greatest results: a dark, introspective wine loaded with black fruits on the nose and delivering great oodles of black cherry, raspberry, chocolate and mint on the palate, accented by earthy, silky tannins. The 2004 MJT Block Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is what comes to mind when you think about quintessential “Napa Valley Cabernet.” Only 150 cases produced.
