Jon Weir, son of Ernie, has been involved with the winery since he was a little boy. He was first employed as a young teenager doing very basic duties such as putting stickers on bags and filing papers. Once he developed a palate and an appreciation for fine wine, Ernie brought him on as a hospitality/wine educator. During his studies at Arizona State University, he worked the tasting room during the summer months. He graduated in 2015 with a degree in business with a concentration on sustainability. Since then, he has been living in Southern California aiding the winery with brand representation and sales within restaurants, resorts, and shops. While attending ASU, he developed an appreciation for marketing and recently took on the responsibility of handling majority of the marketing department, including the website and social media platforms. He is currently enrolled in University taking science prerequisites in hopes of transferring to UC Davis for a master’s degree in viticulture and enology.
During the 2016 harvest, Weir interned with Hall Winery to learn the craftsmanship of fine Napa Valley wine.
