2014 Prix Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon MJT
September 16th, 2014
32 Months French Oak
Cab is the quintessential Napa grape. Across the world the name Napa is associated with the name Cabernet Sauvignon. So if you are going to make a Napa Cab you better do it right. And folks, Ernie has done it right yet again! The aromas of bright dark blackberry and boysenberry catch your attention and are balanced with blackberry bramble, subtle baking spice and delicate eucalyptus. Flavors of rich black cherry and deep dark Marion berry flow across the palate. Notes of the deep forest floor and sun warmed leather round out this wine. The big, structured tannins and layered complexity of this wine make it age worthy indeed.
