2018 Hagafen Merlot

With bountiful aromatics of wild strawberry, soft violet, and Lincoln rose, the nose delights the senses. Found amidst the fruits and florals are subtle hints of a rosemary and pipe smoke. Moving into the soft, round mouth we find a dusty raspberry balanced with soft oak and smooth tannins. Alongside those, are flavors of warm ripe fig and soft baking spice. This lovely soft, lush wine has a lingering finish and a satisfying mouth feel that will make you question why you ever thought badly of this noble varietal.
