2019 Hagafen Cabernet Franc

The bad boy of Napa Valley is back with a vengeance. This vintage of Cabernet Franc has every thing you might want to find in a good Bond villain: depth, complexity, and bit of spice. Like any good villain he has his soft side. A nose of bold boysenberry, rich yet soft black pepper and light flowering rosemary draws you in and makes you want to trust him. But onto the palate we find him bold and spicy! A deep dark black cherry is joined by dusty dark chocolate with a bold tannic structure and a prolonged finish. The Cab Franc is approachable now (if you can handle it) and, also, has years of evil plotting ahead.
