2015 Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc
Although officially still in a drought, Napa Valley received enough rain over the winter months to allow for a larger crop and what appears to be another great vintage. By mid-October, vintners throughout the Napa Valley were breathing a collective sigh of relief – and satisfaction – for the end of this year's harvest. The near-perfect growing season started early, saw ideal weather conditions throughout and wrapped up as the valley's first significant fall rainstorm arrived on October 14. Wines from the 2016 vintage are now quietly developing in cellars throughout Napa Valley and vintners are pinching themselves and smiling for the gift it appears Mother Nature has given them: a fifth consecutive vintage of stellar quality Napa Valley wines.
Our beautiful 2016 Sauvignon Blanc tantalizes your senses with beautiful, aromatic soft fruits and florals. The refined nose of green apple, guava and Mandarin orange gently glides out of the glass at you. The additional scent of light, fresh golden straw on a warm spring day adds to the beauty of this wine. It is soft and pretty and reminiscent of the beginning of summer. The bright, supple and round mouth feel carries the aromatics onto the palate with the addition of ripe white peach and juicy mango.
